July 7, 2018

Our “GUEST BLOG” series continues and we excitedly introduce you to Andrea Graham.

A few self words about Andrea as we introduce you to her uplifting positive energy blog:

I’m a director of rehabilitation and speech language pathologist at a skilled nursing facility.  The most rewarding part of my job is helping people who’ve had a stroke to talk again.  I’m also a group fitness instructor for Fit Bodies, Inc, a company that provides instructors for vacation destinations all over the world.
It’s part of my mission on this earth to spread positivity to others daily.  I look forward to teaching my 5 month old daughter how to create her most positive life and how to spread a positive mindset with others as she grows.

We further share her positive story…….

‘The Power of Positivity” by Andrea Graham

Everyone has a story to tell…. At least everyone I know does.  I haven’t met a single person who’s life has been perfect.  Mine definitely hasn’t been, but today, I consider myself pretty blessed and fortunate.

As a child, there were a few negative things that made a pretty significant impact on my life.  I could have followed a few step-siblings and gone down the wrong road with them.  As the youngest, I chose to learn from their mistakes.  One of those mistakes was having a negative mindset, which impacted every aspect of their lives.  I’m a firm believer, that if you “think you CAN,” you’re right and if “you think you CAN’T,” you’re also right.  I remember at the age of 6, I was giving older people the advice to “look at the bright side” when negative situations would arise.  I remember it like it was yesterday, probably because the first time I said it, they laughed. Maybe they thought there wasn’t a bright side to look at.  I think in most cases there is.

I feel like the power of your life, how you feel every day, your successes, & your happiness is based on your mindset. Living with the idea that you will awaken every morning and start with positivity, including consciously thinking about the blessings in life, and carry out that mindset throughout the day, is truly living your best life! You can easily choose to let someone or something ruin your day.  That’s your decision though.  Allowing someone else to impact your day in a negative way or a situation make your day terrible is letting go of control.  YOU control your happiness, not anyone else.  Other people only control it, if YOU let them.

I challenge you to regain control of your happiness any time someone or something starts to take it from you.  Awake daily with inner peace and allow that peace to flow throughout your day by saying positive words to others, thinking positive things about yourself and your life, and believing that good things are going to happen to you every single day.

Andrea
