“Gratitude And A Positive Attitude” by Erica O’Meara”

Greetings! I am so grateful to be a guest blogger on Unigize! Not coincidentally, “gratitude” is the subject of my entry! What is gratitude? How can you exercise gratitude every day? What kinds of rewards come from having daily gratitude? Let’s start answering these questions!

I chose a quote from Louise Hay that I found fitting for this topic: “Today I take a moment to count my blessings.” It’s as simple as that to have daily gratitude. You can be grateful for something as basic as the air you breathe, or for something specific you want to attract to your life. To have daily gratitude is to turn up the volume on the positive energy that you radiate. Once you start practicing daily gratitude for things, you will see a shift in your day-to-day experiences. This is the foundation for experiencing the Law of Attraction, and also the basis on which I built my t-shirt line, Hashtag Manifestations. The core belief being: you attract the type of energy that you release into the universe, and it all starts with gratitude.

One way to practice daily gratitude is to keep a journal. Get into the everyday habit of writing down a few things that you are grateful for (you do not necessarily have to possess these things currently). For example, if you are in a job that doesn’t satisfy or excite you anymore, you can write down, “I am grateful for my satisfying work life” or something similar. Once you write down your statements, take a few minutes to close your eyes and concentrate on them in peace, feeling the gratitude and positive energy begin to radiate through your body. If you get into this  habit, you will begin to notice a positive change in the direction of those things which you have been concentrating your gratitude on. Other people will most likely notice a positive difference in you, also!

Another way to practice gratitude is through little reminders and positive affirmations scattered throughout your day. Whether it comes in the form of writing on your bathroom mirror, a post-it note on your desk at work, or a happy message inside a bottle cap or candy wrapper, the written word can be powerful in giving your positivity a boost. That is the idea behind my t-shirt line, Hashtag Manifestations. Each shirt focuses on an immaterial element of life to give thanks for, in order to draw more of it to you. With over 30 hashtags to choose from, and the option to customize your own, there are no limits to what you can be grateful for. The best part is, whether you decide to wear your shirt each day or not, chances are you will glance at it every time you enter your closet looking for something to wear; it is always there to give you a gentle reminder to focus your gratitude.

I am thankful for each and every person who checks out my shirts at etsy.com/shop/hashtagmanifestation. If you are interested in learning more about the Law of Attraction and gratitude, hop on over to Checking In with Kyle and Erica, a weekly podcast that I share with my friend!

Warmest regards, Erica
