Our “GUEST BLOG” series continues and we excitedly introduce you to Vancouver, Canada resident, Mikaela Karram.
A few self words about Mikaela as we introduce you to her uplifting positive energy blog:
Hi! My name is Mikaela and I am the founder of Pay it Forward Gear in Vancouver. Pay it Forward Gear started off in hopes to bring awareness to being kind to one another. For me, I was in a really dark place in my life and I felt very isolated. When you are in the darkness, it is so hard to see the light. Sometimes you really do need great people to hand you a flashlight and let you know that you are not alone.
We further share her positive story…….
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”
For me, giving back gave me a sense of purpose in my struggles. Be kind to others, be open and realise that everyone has a story. By being kind, you have the power to change someone’s mood. By being open, you are letting your guard down and people will be more likely to share with you and open up to you. Everyone has a story. Sometimes I think people think they are alone and that no one can relate to them. If we are positive, and open about our struggles – people will feel less alone. Your story could inspire someone.
For me, I do my best to do nice things for my friends and for strangers. For my friends, I write cards for them and mail them. A little note can go a long long way. For strangers, I try to smile at each person I pass, I try to have a little more patience with long lines, and traffic.
One of my favourite quotes is “You become like the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Choose wisely” When I think of this – I really try to remember that energy is contagious. Positive vibes attract positive tribes!
Who is a positive person in your life? Mention them, tell them you care and that they are making a positive impact in your life.
Stay in touch and reach out to Mikaela:
